I never thought I'd ever have to say all of that out loud, but I knew I couldn't let her walk out of that door. I had to open up for her.

Remi's not like the others. She listens but tells me straight, and without a doubt she's the best woman I've ever met because of it. She reminds me a bit of my mum, but even she don't stand up to my dad like Rem does to me. If Remi still wants to leave now that I’ve spilled it all then I’ll have to accept it. I just fucking hope she doesn’t.

As I stand, she stops me looking into my eyes with her voice soft and cautious. “You promise to protect me? To be honest?”

I will; “Always.”

She closes her eyes for a split second before opening them and placing her hand on my face. “Please don't keep anything from me that I can know about.”

I turn my head to kiss her naked wrist, desperate to touch her since I let her hand go, “I won’t.”

She steps up closer and slowly brings her mouth to mine. My arms instinctively wrap around her waist just how I like them, realising that yesterday could have been the last time I held her. She fits so perfectly that it’s hard to believe I’ve held anyone in them before. She grips onto my neck tightly, it pinches a little, but I like it, shows she passionate and as hungry for me as I am her.

I tug on the hem of her top, but she pulls away. “Not so fast Mister.”

“What?” I pant while my dick strains against my joggers. She smiles bemused, like I should already know.

“I need some coffee and food. I haven't eaten since...” She looks up in thought. “It's been a while.”

“Let me cook somethin’.” I don’t have a lot because I’m hardly here to eat, but I grab some stuff from the fridge and begin cooking a quick version of a cooked breakfast – a couple of sausages, eggs, few bits of bacon, some mushrooms and a fried tomato. She chats a little bit to me but sits content with the cup of coffee she longed for, watching me.

“I never thought you could cook, let alone that you would cook for me one day.”

I raise an eyebrow at her, sliding on the last piece of food onto the plates positioned between us.

“Be honoured, not many women have eaten anythin’ made by these hands.”

I push the plate to her as she lifts up a fork. “Let's hope it's not the only time.” She winks playfully before looking down at the contents of steaming food, instantly returning her gaze at me. “Uhm, what is this?”

“That babe, is a traditional English brekkie!” Her eyes glint in the brightening light from outside “Well, minus the toast ‘cause I ain’t got no bread. Here. You’ll want some brown sauce on it, especially the bacon.” I pass the sauce, but she hasn’t stopped staring at me. “Have I got somethin’ on my face?”

“You called me ‘babe’.
